Michael Lew is grateful to join Ma-Yi Writersı Lab. Michael is an administrative associate for New Dramatists. His one-woman play Yit, Ngay (One, Two) is published in Plays and Playwrights 2006, and his marionette play Tilly nı Bill ran at the Connolly and Dixon Place. He is a resident playwright of both Youngblood at Ensemble Studio Theatre and Vital R&D at Vital Theater. As a director, Michael staged his play Orphans at the Tank and Steve Belberıs Management at HERE. Assistant directing credits include Playwrights Horizons (yearlong residency), Primary Stages, Center Theatre Group, Drama Dept., and New Georges. At Ma-Yi, he assistant directed for Loy Arcenas on Warren Leightıs No Foreigners Beyond This Point. He is a Lincoln Center Directorsı Lab alumnus, a producing associate for Prospect Theater, and a stage manager for Ojai Playwrights Conference. Michael is a native of La Jolla, California. He graduated from Yale in 2003. |
